Checkout

Payment & security

What happens to your card details, who holds them, and what we can and cannot see. Short version: the payment is handled by Shopify, and we never see your card number.

How we take payment

Who processes it

Checkout runs on Shopify's payment platform, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. Card details are entered on Shopify's own encrypted checkout, not on a form we built.

What we can see

Your name, delivery address, email, what you ordered, and the last four digits of the card with its brand. Not the full number, not the expiry, not the security code.

Storage

We do not store card numbers anywhere — not in our systems, not on paper, not in email. If you save a card for next time, it is held by the payment provider, not by us.

The practical details

Accepted methods
Major credit and debit cards, plus the digital wallets offered at checkout. The full list appears once you reach the payment step — what shows there is what we accept.
Currency
All prices and charges are in US dollars (USD). If your card is in another currency, your bank converts it at their rate and may add a foreign transaction fee we have no sight of.
When you are charged
In full when the order is placed, not when it ships.
Statement descriptor
Look for TURQELIS on your statement. If a charge you do not recognise appears, email us before disputing it — it is faster.
Failed payments
A declined card means no order was created and no money moved. A pending authorisation may still show for a day or two before your bank releases it.
Refunds
Returned to the original payment method. We process them within 3 business days of approving the return; your bank usually takes another 5–10 to show it.
Duties and import tax
Not included in the price. Where they apply, the carrier collects them on delivery.

Security on the site

Encryption

Every page on turqelis.com is served over HTTPS with TLS. Your browser's padlock is the check worth making — on our site and on everyone else's.

Fraud screening

Orders are screened automatically for signs of card fraud. Occasionally a legitimate order is flagged; if that happens we email you before cancelling anything.

Your data

We use your details to process the order and to contact you about it. What we collect and how long we keep it is set out in our Privacy Policy.

What we will never do

We will never email or message you asking for a card number, a security code, a password or a one-time code. Anyone who does is not us, however convincing the email looks.

Something looks wrong with a charge? Email info@turqelis.com with the order number and the date, and we will trace it. Do not send card details in the email — we do not need them and cannot use them.
