These Terms of Service govern your use of turqelis.com and any purchase you make through it. The site is operated by CRONUS COMMODITIES LIMITED, a company registered in Hong Kong, trading as Turqelis ("we", "us", "our"). By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms.

1. Who may use the site

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter into a binding contract. You agree to give accurate information when ordering and to keep any account credentials secure.

2. Products and descriptions

We describe our lamps as accurately as we can, including their approximate dimensions and materials. Because every piece is painted and gilded by hand, colour, brushwork and gold edging vary between items, and colour rendering varies between screens. These variations are inherent to the product and are not defects.

Dimensions marked approximate are approximate. Where an exact measurement matters to you, email us before ordering.

We may change, discontinue or limit the availability of any product at any time without notice.

3. Prices and orders

All prices are in US dollars and exclude shipping, import duty and any tax levied in your country. We may change prices at any time; the price applying to your order is the one displayed when you place it.

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send the dispatch confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch — for example where an item is out of stock, where a price or description was clearly wrong, or where the order is flagged as potentially fraudulent. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund it in full.

We reserve the right to limit quantities per customer or per order.

4. Payment

Payment is taken in full when the order is placed. Checkout is operated by Shopify and its payment providers; we do not receive or store your card number. Details are on our Payment and Security page.

5. Shipping, returns and refunds

Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy and returns by our Refund Policy. Both form part of these terms.

6. Electrical safety and use

Our lamps are supplied wired for 120 V with a US plug and take an E26 bulb of 60 W maximum. Do not exceed the stated wattage, do not use a lamp with a damaged cord or plug, do not use one in a bathroom or outdoors, and do not modify or rewire it. Keep the shade clear of the bulb. We are not liable for injury or damage arising from misuse, modification, or use outside these instructions.

These are decorative lamps. They are not toys and are not designed for use within reach of small children.

7. Intellectual property

The designs, photographs, text and layout of this site belong to us or are used with permission, and may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without our written consent. You may not reproduce our product designs.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to break any law, to interfere with its operation, to scrape or harvest data, to attempt unauthorised access, or to introduce malicious code. We may suspend access to anyone who does.

9. Third-party links

The site may link to other sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing limits your statutory consumer rights.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force when you place an order is the version that applies to it. Changes are posted here with a revised date.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you have in your own country of residence.
